Pollinator from Ukraine

Today, all over the world bumblebees are recognized as one of the most efficient pollinators of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, sweet cherries, cherries, plums, pears, apples, apricots, raspberries, blueberries, bilberry, strawberries, pumpkins, melons, courgettes and aubergines.

Many Ukrainian farms have benefited biopollination and use of bumblebees in the open ground and in greenhouses.

The first Ukrainian bumblebee farm was founded in the Muzychi village (Kiev region) in May 2015.

Observation of bumblebees were made in our nature and their behaviour was compared with various representatives of commercial pollinators in other regions and their unique pairs.

Our biologists conducted balanced selection of material, the quality of bumblebee queens, their fertility and characteristics of offspring. We got the first generation of our own bumblebees as a result of laboratory selection. Conditions of insect habitats on the farm are as close to their familiar environment as possible. Year development cycle, hibernation and mating technology were fully reproduced.

Our bumblebees have already worked its first season on cucumbers, tomatoes, raspberries, strawberries and sunflowers in the open ground and in the greenhouses. “Dziva krayina” specialists watched carefully of their daily progress.

High levels of dusting, acceptable and independent of the exchange rate price of the hive suggest that advanced agricultural technology facilities become available for the Ukrainian farmer.
